Primal Mother and Child…
For the Ninth Week of Summer, according to Nancy Blair’s Goddesses for Every Season, (Copyright 1995, Element Books, Inc., Rockport, Massachusetts), we have the Primal Mother and Child.
Probably one of the most popular and common Goddess Images many have found. Very few of us have not seen the image of Mary, the Blessed Mother, holding Jesus/Yeshua/Easa. Not to mention my own Soul’s Creatrix, Auset/Isis, holding Heru/Horus.
Of course, there are other Mothers and Their Children. Demeter and Persephone “springs” to Mind, as They Are so deeply connected to each other. Demeter Is the Greek Goddess of Springtime, Abundance and Grain, and Her Divine Daughter Is Persephone, the Springtime Maiden.
Also, Diana and Aradia. Diana Is the Roman Goddess of the Hunt, and of the Waxing Crescent Moon, Women and Children, Wild Animals and the Forests. Aradia Is Her Divine Daughter, the Sicilian Goddess of Witches and Witchcraft.
Of course, Aphrodite–the Greek Goddess of Love, Beauty and Sensual Pleasures– and Her Sacred Son, Eros, the Greek God of Romantic and Sexual Love.
There are others, but this Goddess–the Primal Mother–Is a clear and evident Re-Minder of the Power of a Mother’s Love and the Magick that She weaves for Her child.
Now, if you are neither a parent of a human, nor wish to become one, or if you are only a parent to an animal, such as a dog or a cat, you may wish to reconnect to your Inner Mother Goddess, via your Inner Child.
Have you been nurturing or nourishing yourself lately? Are you allowing others to nurture and nourish you? Are you making sure to eat and drink plenty, rest plenty, remember that Divine Prosperity in all its forms are your Divine Birthright?
Between now and this Thursday, August 22, 2013 (the same date the Sun enters Virgo, the Sign of the Healer and of being of Service), to mother yourself, nurture yourself, nourish yourself and do this completely: In other words, Body, Mind and Soul.
Before I close, I wish to acknowledge my newest blog follower, “jamesneed.” May you receiving a Divine Abundance of Divine Joy, Divine Riches and Divine Success from following “This Is Who I AM.”
And for those of you already following and reading my blog, may you continue to receive Divine Peace, Divine Prosperity and Divine Protection from the devils we know and the ones we do not.
Thank you, one and all, for honoring who I AM and what I do.
