Yesterday, Tuesday, January 14, 2013, a very good client/faithful student/dear friend assisted me in taking care of a personal matter.
It was wonderful spending time with her, and I do not mind stating how HONORED I felt that she would drive from another state to assist me in this endeavor.
However, toward the middle of the afternoon, I was exhausted, especially since the challenges I had Seen, Psychically, more than a year ago came to pass.
However, it was not until I returned home that I realized that I had not used enough Affirmations, Denials and Words of Power in my day.
I know that some people think that Affirmations do nothing, but let me assure you, they WORK! To paraphrase a quote a Communication Course Leader (whose name, alas, I do not recall, but her presence is still quite felt in my life, as well as her voice still quite heard in my Mind), Affirmations are “too simple for complicated Minds.”
I cannot begin to tell you how many times in my life, especially these last several years, that an Affirmation, a Denial, or a Statement of Words of Power (or, if you prefer, a Declarative Prayer) has begun or succeeded in turning the tide for me.
Let me briefly describe each of them.
An Affirmation is, as Louise L. Hay puts is, anything you say or think (as well as anything you write). Some of the more common and disempowering Affirmations include, “Men can’t be trusted!” “There’s never enough money.” “Women are a pain!”, “Nobody loves me.” “I’m not good enough.” Et cetera.
Some of the more Positive, Empowering and Prosperous Affirmations include, “EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY, I AM LOVED MORE AND MORE.” “ALL IS WELL IN MY WORLD.” “MY LIFE IS A JOYOUS ADVENTURE.” “EVERY DAY, MY INCOME GROWS AND GROWS!” And yes, you can also Affirm, “EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY, MY INCOME GROWS AND GROWS!”
According to the writings of Catherine Ponder, the word “affirmation” means “to make firm, to make real in your world.” When you Affirm something, you are making it real in your world.
For the last several years, I have highly recommended to all my clients, students and friends that they be especially Mindful of their thoughts. Positive, empowering and Prosperous thoughts are no longer the sole province of the Lightworker. If you want to have a Loving and Lavish life, in any area (Love, Money, Health, etc.)—especially given the constant Energy Shifts—then you need to be extra Mindful of your thoughts.
A Denial is to deny the existence of something. In a Magickal context, it is a verbal banishing.
Some negative and disempowering examples of Denials are: “Nobody loves me.” “I can never win.” “I should just give up.”
Essentially, you are negative the negative when you use a Denial. For example, one of my personal favorites is: “NO, NO, NO! THIS IS NOT SO. I NO LONGER ACCEPT FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN MY WORLD.”
Then, we have “Words of Power.” In the book, Positive Magic: Occult Self-Help, by (the late and great) Marion Weinstein, Chapter 8, “Words of Power: The Work of Self-transformation” she wrote that the phrase “Words of Power” is attributed to the Great and Glorious Isis (Whom, as per my Celestial Mother’s, Divine Direction, refer to by Her Ancient Name, Auset). You can pick up the book, which I just found out is in a revised and expanded edition, for more info about “Words of Power.”
However, in the meantime, this is an example of a statement of “Words of Power” that I used recently, with my current go round of John Randolph Price’s “40-Day Prosperity Plan: “Today, I Prosper Greatly! Today, I AM fulfilled in every way! Today, I eat like a King! So mote it be!”
I often think of Words of Power Statements as a shot of adrenaline and caffeine directly into the jugular. Some of you read the aforementioned Words of Power Statement and stopped drinking your coffee (and some of you sputtered it out of your mouths!).
Nonetheless, next Tuesday, January 22, 2013, my lovely client/student/friend and I shall resume taking care of this personal business matter, but next Tuesday there shall be no trials; solely Triumphs and Transformation.
Ladies and gentlemen, dear blog followers and readers, I welcome your comments, and please feel free to share your experiences with Affirmations, Denials and Words of Power, as well as your favorites, be they your own or those created by others.
Thank you, as always, for honoring who I AM and what I do.
